Som Bakshi

Transtel, National as well regional award winning Director, Cinematographer and Producer, Som Bakshi has been a distinguished name in the Indian Television Industry for over 35 years.

 

The critical acclaim that he received at an early age culminated in him working for the late Prime Minister of India Smt. Indira Gandhi from 1980- 1984 on her domestic and international visits. His international awards include the prestigious Transtel award for a film titled Asha ki Kiran in 1979 as the best film. In 1990 he, won the National award for cinematography for a serial titled Himalya Darshan. In 1992 the North Indian Films Association awarded him with Best Director award for his serial titled Pukar.

 

He was a key cinematographer at Doordarshan, the National Broadcaster of India from 1975 to 1985.

 

He has worked as a cinematographer with practically every prominent network like BBC, NBC, NHK,CNN, ABC etc

 

His latest creation is a 45 minute documentary in which he shot with a Living Master: Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath in the Himalayas which has been recently released by Times Music in India. Wings to Freedom has also been the recipient of two International Awards in 2012- Best Educational Film at the Akasha Metaphysical Film Festival in Carmel, California and the Bronze Palm Award at the Mexico International Film Festival.

Rita Bakshi

Rita Bakshi, MSc. in Principles of Child Development from Lady Irwin College, Delhi University is an Indian television Director and Producer, has a Professional Diploma from Film and Television Institute in Pune, India. Her Television series titled Pukar (1991) won Best Director from the North Indian Films Association. She worked as a Producer with Doordarshan from 1975 to 1985 and then went on to form her own production company. She attended the United Nations Consortium for Women™s Filmmakers conference in Geneva and New York and the Prix Jeunesse Conference in Munich. With a focus on Education for children, she specialized in utilization of television for entertaining education. She produced and directed two programs per week of 30 minutes each for 6 Years for Educational Children's Television. While working with Doordarshan she also produced Outdoor Broadcasts, News reports on international meets like NAM and ASIAD. She also produced Chat Shows with visiting guests like David Niven, Trevor Howard, Roger Moore and the mathematician, Shakuntala Devi and a live show with Zubin Mehta. She also produced all the five special programs telecast on Doordarshan for the first Festival of India to be held in North America.
She directed and produced serials like Firdaus, Pukar, Children of the Earth, Teenage Turmoil etc. Her latest creation is a 45 minute documentary titled Wings to Freedom which has been recently released by Times Music in India. Wings to Freedom has also been the recipient of two International Awards in 2012- Best Educational Film at theÂAkasha Metaphysical Film Festival in Carmel, California and the Bronze Palm Award at the Mexico International Film Festival.

She has over 35 years of experience in Television Productions with National and international networks.

Rajati Bakshi

Rajati is an Hons. scholar both from her school in India and a state scholar in Canada. A graduate in Digital Enterprise Management from University of Toronto, Rajati started working and assisting in Parkview Studios from 2012.

She has pioneered several Projects from Conceptualization to Completion. She has thus been part of a team that has gathered a set of loyal customers in the market and have worked extensively for a number of companies. She has also had over a decade of Hindustani Classical Music Experience and has sung in various places as well. 

​

She is interested in Technology, Business trends, Science as well as the Arts. She is an avid reader and movie watcher. She has traveled to several countries and sung at a Folk Music Festival called Ethno.
